The Department of Public Works will hold a special meeting Tuesday, April 15, beginning at 6 p.m., at Village Hall for residents impacted by a water main restoration pilot project expected to begin in the coming months.
The upcoming project, Cured In Place Pipe Lining (CIPP), will restore approximately 1,350 feet of water main along Central Park Avenue, from Sauganash Street to Sangamon Street, and along Sangamon Street, from Central Park Avenue to Shabbona Drive.
Residents in the impacted area were mailed a letter in early April asking for their attendance at the critical April 15 meeting. For the project to be successful, resident assistance is imperative. At the meeting, Village officials along with the company hired to complete the work will provide an overview of the project and what is needed from residents.
