Petition packets are currently available in the Manager’s Office at Village Hall for any resident wishing to run for elected office in Park Forest in the April 7, 2015 election.
On the ballot in April will be the office of the mayor and three Village trustees; each with a four-year term. Also on the ballot will be two library trustees; each with a six-year term.
One unexpired library trustee seat, with a term ending in 2019, will also be on the ballot.
The filing period of all offices is December 15 to December 22, 2014.
Petitions should be filed in the Village Clerk’s Office at Village Hall between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
