Overview
The Economic Development and Planning Department is one department with five functions. The economic development function is primarily responsible for providing support to existing businesses, with an emphasis on retention and expansion, and attracting new businesses to the Village. The planning function provides guidance to property owners, developers, citizens, and other units of government on planning and zoning issues. The community relations function promotes the Village for residential retention and growth, emphasizing the Village’s high quality of live, and also is responsible for Fair Housing and residential mediation.
