On Sunday, June 22, 2014 at approximately 10:49 p.m., the Park Forest Police Department responded to a woman who had been accosted by a male subject in the 300 block of Gettysburg Street. The woman, who had been walking her dog in the neighborhood, was approached by a male subject, who walked up behind her, hugged her, and kissed her neck. The offender then grabbed her chest and implied that he had a weapon. The woman screamed and fled, running to her residence and calling police.
The offender in this incident is described as a male/black in his mid 20s, approximately 5’7”, thin to medium build, with a medium-brown complexion, stubbly facial hair and sideburns. In addition, the offender had crooked teeth with gaps between them.
On Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Park Forest Police Department responded to Rich East High School when a female juvenile reported to school officials that she had been grabbed by a male subject as she walked to the school. The victim reported that she had been walking in the 200 block of Westwood Drive when she saw a male subject running towards her. This subject grabbed the victim’s buttocks, then ran away. The offender is described as male/black in his late teens or early 20s, approximately 6’ tall with a thin build, with a dark brown complexion. Additional witnesses describe the offender as possibly having short braids or dreadlock-style hair. The description of this offender is similar to the offender wanted for several similar incidents in the early spring of 2014.
Park Forest Police are investigating both incidents. As always, residents are asked to be aware of their surroundings and immediately contact police if they see anything or anyone suspicious or unusual.
