THE COUNTY OF WILL will be holding a Public Hearing concerning the intent of THE COUNTY along with THE VILLAGE OF MATTESON, THE VILLAGE OF MONEE, THE VILLAGE OF PARK FOREST, THE VILLAGE OF RICHTON PARK, THE VILLAGE OF UNIVERSITY PARK AND THE COUNTY OF COOK to apply for an Enterprise Zone designation pursuant to the Illinois Enterprise Zone Act, 20 ILCS 655/ 1 et seq, to be awarded by the State of Illinois in 2015. The proposed name of the enterprise zone is the Will-Cook & I-57 Corridor Enterprise Zone.
Public Notice is hereby given that the County will hold a public hearing within the proposed enterprise zone boundaries at 4:00 p.m. on November 18, 2014 at Schoop’s Hamburgers, 5701 W. Monee Manhattan Road, Monee, Illinois, 60449.
The public hearing is being held on the question of whether to create the zone, what local plans, tax incentives and other programs should be established in connection with the zone, what the boundaries of the zone should be and other information if the State of Illinois awards an Enterprise Zone designation to the aforementioned Municipalities and Counties.
The public is invited to attend this public hearing and to speak and make comments as to their views and concerns regarding the proposed Enterprise Zone.
