Kevin Grove has been selected as the Park Forest Fire Department’s Firefighter of the Year for 2019. On Saturday February 22, 2020 the Fire Department held it’s Annual Awards Ceremony at Dinning on the Green in Downtown Park Forest. The event highlights outstanding acts by the members of the department at emergency calls in 2019. Members of the department where recognized for their actions on calls ranging from Structure fires to saving a life on an EMS scene.
Firefighter Grove joined the Park Forest Fire Department in July, 2011. Since his hiring, Firefighter Grove has constantly been learning and improving himself by taking classes, listening and watching others around him. Not only is Firefighter Grove a dedicated member to the Park Forest Fire Department, he serves as a member of the Honor Guard and Combined Area Response Team with other surrounding Fire Departments. Firefighter Grove is just one example that makes the Park Forest Fire Department great. It is, however, this example that reflects our Mission Statement and amplifies our six core values: teamwork, honesty, integrity, loyalty, trust and respect.
