Park Forest makes census push with three events this month to aid residents

Be Counted in 2020

With three weeks remaining before the deadline to Be Counted In 2020, Park Forest urges all residents who have yet to be counted to log-on today. Those in need of assistance may attend one of three upcoming census pop-up events where staff will be on hand to help you complete the process in just minutes.

The Park Forest census response rate is currently 69.7%. That compares to a state response rate of 70.1% and a 68.8% response rate for Park Forest in 2010.

Census pop-up events are scheduled for the following dates this month:

  • Saturday, Sept. 12 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
    Location: Main Street Market (Park Forest’s farmers’ market) | 152 Main Street

  • Saturday, Sept. 12 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    Location: Autumn Ridge Apartments Management Office | 119 Sycamore Dr.

  • Saturday, Sept. 26 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
    Location: Growing Green Recyclefest | Downtown Park Forest

Park Forest residents can be counted today by visiting my2020census.gov.
