Former Park Forest trustee Harold Brown has passed.
Brown served as village trustee from 2001 to 2006 before relocating to Arizona. Prior to the move, Brown and his wife, Rose Carol, were residents of Park Forest for over 50 years.
In addition to his service on the village board, Brown also served as a board member for Park Forest-Chicago Heights Elementary School District 163 and Rich Township High School District 227. Brown was also a longtime member of the Park Forest Non-Partisan Committee, and served on Park Forest’s Mediation Task Force.
Park Forest salutes Harold Brown for his long and dedicated service to the community and expresses heartfelt condolences to all who feel his loss.
Memorial bunting currently hangs on the south façade of Park Forest’s Village Hall in tribute to Brown.
Brown was 92.
