REIKI SANCTUARY
You are invited to experience the healing effects of Reiki by Nona Frazier, Thomas Goodrich and
several other practitioners. If you have never experienced Reiki before then this is a good way
to experience it firsthand.
A portion of donations will be contributed to “Friends of the Health Dept.”

CHESS CLUB
Chess can be learned by anyone. It develops thinking, evaluating and responsibility. Chess is also fun!
Children and adults are encouraged to join the Saturday afternoon Chess Club. All levels are welcome
and individuals wanting to learn to play will receive instruction. Gene Finley leads the club.

AMTS TUTORING
Are you satisfied with your child’s educational performance? Can you rest assured that your child will exceed
in all areas on the upcoming ISAT’s in the fall? Is your child boosting a grade point average of 3.5 or better?
If you cannot answer “yes” to all of these questions, then you are among hundreds of concerned parents.
Anointed Minds Tutoring Services (AMTS) is here to assist your child. It is the goal of AMTS to prepare
students for the ISAT, raise grades of below grade level students and improve schools and school district
scores. AMTS is teaming up with the Village of Park Forest and is offering Reading and Math classes for
four weeks. After attending these classes, your child will discover his/her educational talents.

YOUNG PICASSOS
Picasso is just one of the famous artists who will be studied and imitated! This program will encourage
youngsters to use their imagination and find enjoyment in drawing and painting. Various media will be
presented including pastel, pen and ink, pencil, watercolor and more! All supplies included except an
all-purpose art pad purchased by participants. Pat Moore instructs the class.

IT'S MAGIC!
It’s Magic! Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn a collection of fascinating and mesmerizing
tricks. Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading and more. While the
tricks may appear difficult, you’ll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are
provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn tricks
that are age-appropriate. Additionally, you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are
always taught at each session offered throughout the year! Instructor: Magic Team of Gary Kantor.

BABYSITTER/LATCHKEY CLASS
This course is designed to teach pre-teens and teenagers who provide either self care or child care for others
on how to handle most emergency situations they may encounter. This class is taught by the Park Forest Fire Dept.

ART CAMP
Artsy campers will paint, draw and learn about different artists while using various media such as watercolor,
pencil, pen and ink and pastels! Young artists might be working outside if weather permits and should wear

auna to promote ownership and respect in ones community and their natural
world. ME4E is proud to offer programs in your Central Park Wetlands and
the new Wetlands Discovery Center.

IT'S DRAGON TIME!
Yes, dragons & damsels still live in Park Forest, you just need to know where to look. ME4E will show you several common
dragonflies & damselflies before you trek around Central Park Wetlands. If you enjoy the hunt, learn how you can become
a dragonfly monitor too.

RAIN, RAIN DON'T GO AWAY
You have seen them on your vehicle sticker or for sale at the farmer's market, but do you know how to use a rain barrel?
ME4E will show you how to make the most out of rain barrels. No gutters, no problem! They will also discuss how to
create a rain garden.

Check out one of the best nights for viewing the Perseids Meteor Shower in your Central Park Wetlands. See Venus,

WALK THE WETLANDS TRAINING
Are you interested in the 5K Walk the Wetlands in September or just want to know more about how to use this unique
area for your fitness goals? Meet with ME4E staff at the Wetlands Discovery Center (30 N. Orchard), then we will walk
the wetlands together. Ask questions about the wildlife you see and experience the terrain prior to the the 5K event.
We will only be completing a 2.5K so participants of all ages are welcome. Make sure to wear proper outdoor attire!
