You can enjoy the beach right here in Park Forest when you walk into our zero depth pool. Plenty of
shallow water and special water play equipment make it a great place for toddlers and non-swimmers.
For plenty of action, enjoy our AquaClimb and Drop Slide. Take a ride on our 160-foot water slide
or enjoy a fast game of volleyball on our sand court. All of these features are surrounded by a new
bathhouse and concession stand, turf, sun decks and beautifully landscaped wood decks. So don’t

PARK FOREST AQUA CENTER 2010 OPENING ACTIVITIES
In 2009 the Village received a major grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to undertake a major
remodeling of the bathhouse at the Aqua Center. Come and check us out. The Aqua Center has “gone green”
with solar heated water, 10 new skylights in the building and the addition of an environmental classroom called the
“Wetlands Discovery Center”.  We look forward to an exciting season.  Join us at these upcoming events!

Open House - Saturday, May 29, 2010
Noon to 3 pm
(Open to the public, no swimming)

•Tour the newly remodeled bathhouse.

•Every visitor will receive a coupon for a free daily 
visit during the 2010 season. Purchase your season 
pass or sign up for swim lessons that day and receive 
a second coupon for a daily visit.

•Check out the new and relocated concession stand.

•Watch our outstanding lifeguards in training.

•Many other activities and surprises!

•Live concert by Lindby at 6 pm.

  Hailing from way down south in Arlington, TX, Lindby has brought their music
here to the Park Forest Aqua Center for everyone to enjoy! Lindby is composed
of six music majors at the University of Texas at Arlington, five of which are singers
in the university's a cappella choir! They have been together for a year and a half
now, and are excited to be playing here in Illinois. As you might imagine, their
music is full of dazzling harmonies and energetic melodies that is easy for everyone
to sing along to! They will have CDs and t-shirts for sale, and plenty of rock and
roll to go around!

Come on out to enjoy all of the fun and festivities!

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Before June 5, 2010, contact Park Forest Recreation & Parks at (708)748-2005 if you would like a
membership application mailed to you.  Mail or drop off your 2010 membership at Park Forest
Recreation & Parks Department at 350 Victory Dr. (Park Forest Village Hall) before June 5.
After June 5, you can register at the Aqua Center.

MEMBERHIP RATES (PER PERSON)
Park Forest Resident  - $50 per person
Non-Resident - $60 per person

PICTURE I.D. PASSES
A photo I.D. will be issued to new 2010 members.
Membership Renewal - You can renew your photo I.D. Please note this on your membership
application, otherwise a new card will be issued and the old card will be invalid.

MEMBERSHIP POLICY
Membership is not refundable or transferable. 

No charge for children under 3 years of age.

Children under the age of 11 years must be supervised at all times by a parent or
guardian 14 years or older (that is a member or paying guest).    

There is a $5.00 fee for a replacement membership card.

*DAILY GUESTS RATES (PER PERSON)
Daily Guest Pass:                         $10   per person
Evening Guest Pass after 5pm:    $ 5     per person

*Daily fee is required for entry.
*We reserve the right to limit the number of guest entries.
*A valid photo I.D. is required for entry.(State I.D., Driver’s License, School I.D.)
*No checks accepted for daily fees. No refunds due to closing if inclement weather occurs.
*Swimsuits with a liner must be worn. No street clothing allowed

SWIM LESSON POLICY
Swimming lessons are not made up, nor refunded due to missed lessons for absence. In the event of
inclement weather, an indoor water safety lesson will be provided. Please sign up by the evening before
the session begins so we can provide proper instructor to student ratio. We reserve the right to cancel
or combine classes due to low attendance.  Parents are asked to remain on the concession deck during lessons.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Contact the Aqua Center at (708)747-9490 after June 5 to schedule convenient times with your very own instructor!


AQUA CENTER PROGRAMS

LIFEGUARD COURSE
This class is geared towards those interested in starting to guard right away this summer
(employment is not guaranteed).

Days: Monday thru Friday
Time:  4-8 pm - Extra days and test out date to be announced depending on class enrollment
                         and pace of learning.

Session 1:        June 21-June 25
Age: 15+          Class min: 5
Fee $100 (book included)

JR. LIFEGUARD COURSE
Develop life-saving skills, learn about team work and develop leadership used by professional lifeguards.
Days/Times: M/W/F (8-11 am)

Session 1: July 12 - July 30
Age: 12-14      Class min: 5      Fee: $70

CPR CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of the CPR course, participants will receive an AAOS ECSI CPR certification
card valid for one year.

Session 1: Saturday, July 31 1-4 pm
Age: 12+     Class min: 5 Fee: $30

COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM CLINIC
The Aqua Center is now offering a clinic focusing on skills needed at the competitive level. Come improve
your speed, endurance, and stroke technique!

Days: Monday thru Friday (9-10 am)
Session 1:  August 2-August 6
Swim Meet: Saturday, Aug. 7 at 8 am
Age:  Open Class min. 5 Fee:  $30

JOHNATHAN SWIM-A-THON

RENTAL INFORMATION
The Aqua Center is a great place to schedule a private pool party for your group or organization. Contact the
Recreation & Parks office at (708)748-2005 for a facility rental application or
click here.

Rental applications will be on a first-come, first-served basis. A $50 deposit must accompany the application.

WATER SAFETY AWARD
The Aqua Center continues to be recognized by the aquatic safety firm of Jeff Ellis & Assoc. for
exceeding its criteria in the call of duty and its proactive professionalism. Watch for vigilance
awareness training throughout the season!
