Park Forest police officer pens article about career in law enforcement

Park Forest Police Officer Meghan Vold penned an article for the police news website TenTwoTimes this week detailing why she serves in law enforcement.

In the article, Vold shares her love for kids, her belief in empathy and acts of kindness, and her mission to be the best police officer she can be.

"This profession has a lot of purpose behind it and I want to have a positive purpose in life. Our patch says “Proud to Serve” and that is what I am: extremely privileged and proud to serve my community. I truly enjoy talking to people and solving problems, which is essentially what this job boils down to," Vold said.
