Community Alert | Residential Break-ins

In the past five weeks, there have been nine Residential Burglaries reported in the multi-family areas of Park Forest. These incidents occurred throughout the co-operative areas and Central Park Townhomes. Most of these incidents occurred on weekdays, in the morning hours, particularly late morning. The offenders gained entry into the residences by breaking windows on the entry doors, reaching in, and unlocking the doors. Items taken include jewelry, cash, and small electronics; things which could easily be carried away by offenders on foot.

Extra police patrols are taking place within these areas. In addition, residents are encouraged to be particularly aware of people in their neighborhoods who they do not recognize, people loitering, and anyone going door-to-door. If anyone suspicious is seen, call police immediately and provide the best possible description of the suspicious person(s) and their location.

Anyone who has any information is urged to call Park Forest Police at 708-748-4701.
