Gladstone, Warner named Good Egg Awardees for 2015

The Park Forest Commission on Human Relations is pleased to announce that Georgette Gladstone and Caleb Warner of Park Forest are the recipients of the 2015 Good Egg Award.

Georgette's nominator states that she was both the cheerleader and conscience of Recreation & Park. Caleb's nominator stated that he was not only the joy to his mother, legacy to his grandparents, but also an inspiration to his siblings and youth of Park Forest.

The Good Egg Award recognizes leadership and community service that has had a significant impact on fostering inter-group relations and equal opportunity in the South Suburbs.

In 1973, the first award was bestowed on the late Harry Teshima, who laid the groundwork that ultimately attracted the first African American families as residents of Park Forest. Today Park Forest is a community comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

The Good Egg Awards will be presented to the recipients on Tuesday, December 8, at 7 p.m. during a ceremony in their honor at Village Hall, 350 Victory Drive. A reception will precede the presentation at 6:30 p.m. in the Village Hall foyer.

The Village of Park Forest is proud to be a community comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures and interests who are relentless in their pursuit to make Park Forest and the South Suburbs an even better place to live.
