Later that day, Community Relations is hosting a Pride Party with food, a fashion show, activities/games, and face painting. The party will start at 6 p.m. and go until 9 p.m. This event will also be held at the Village Green at 349 Main Street.
June is "Resident Appreciation Month," and the Village of Park Forest is hosting a Resident Appreciation BBQ at the Village Green at 6 p.m., on June 14. The BBQ will include music, vendors, and drinks. This outdoor event will take place at the Village Green and is the pre-party to the Village's Main Street Nights summer series, which will begin at 6:30 that evening.
Main Street Nights is a music series that will run for eight weeks through August.
The Village will continue celebrating Juneteenth by being a co-sponsor of the Juneteenth at the Nate event at Governors State University. That event is scheduled for Saturday, June 17, and starts at 4 p.m. For more information, click here.
