The Village of Park Forest will begin alerting residents of water main breaks in their area via the CodeRed Notification System beginning March 1.
Residents enrolled in the CodeRed notification system will start to receive emails when a water main break occurs in your area. Due to staffing limitations, email notification will occur only during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents will receive only one alert per break. Please note that only residents enrolled to receive CodeRed notifications will be alerted of main breaks in their area via email.
Residents with questions related to a break should call Public Works at 708-503-7702.
About CodeRed
The CodeRed Notification System is an ultra high-speed telephone communication service designed to deliver important messages. Through the system, Park Forest residents can receive phone recordings, text messages, and/or emails related to incidents that may impact you.
The village has utilized this system to communicate neighborhood alert information, boil order alerts, and, coming March 1, the village will begin to use CodeRed to deliver water main break email notifications.
Those not yet enrolled, or if you enrolled only for phone and text alerts but would like to add email alters, please visit the following link and follow the steps.
