U.S. Census Bureau to end end counting Sept. 30, Park Forest currently at 67.2% counted

Yesterday the U.S. Census Bureau announced it would end census counting a month early on Sept. 30.

Park Forest is currently tracking at 67.2% counted. The state of Illinois by comparison is tracking at 67.8% counted.

In 2010, Park Forest finished with a response rate of 68.8%.

The Bureau will conduct door-to-door operations in August and September to attempt to make contact with those still uncounted. With less than two months to go, the time is now for all Park Forest residents to answer the call!

Whether you rent or own, whether you plan to be in the community a short time or for several years, whether you’re young or old, the quality of offerings in Park Forest rely largely on you being counted. Federal funding used to make Park Forest the very best it can be over the next 10 years is being determined now!
