Village to hold Halloween, fall fest events

Halloween events and Fall Fest

Several events sponsored by the Village of Park Forest are schedule over the final week of October.  View details on each below. 

Please note: Trick or Treating hours in Park Forest this year are from 3 to 8 p.m. 

Haunted House

Oct. 25, 26, 27, and 31
361 Artists Way in Downtown Park Forest
Cost: $6 with canned goods to donate to those in need and $8 without canned goods. Groups of ten are $40 (with or without canned goods).

Experience a scary good time with Park Forest’s Haunted House, benefiting a great cause. Tickets are  Tickets can be purchased at Village Hall or at the door. For more ticket information, call 708-748- 2005.

Hours of Operation:
Friday, Oct. 25, 7 - 10 p.m. - General Admission
Saturday, Oct. 26, 6 - 10 p.m. - General Admission
Sunday, Oct. 27, 2 - 4 p.m. - Soft scare for young children, elderly and those with disabilities only
                            6 - 9 p.m. - General Admission
Thursday, Oct. 31, 5 - 9 p.m. - General Admission

Fall Fest & Chili Cookoff

Saturday, Oct. 26, 1 - 3 p.m. 
Somonauk Park, 250 Somonauk Street
Cost: FREE to attend

Celebrate the arrival of fall with a chili cook off, stories around a bonfire, delicious s’mores, a Trunk n’ Treat in the parking lot, and so much more. Sponsored by the Park Forest Recreation & Parks Advisory Board, the Park Forest Police Department, and the Park Forest Economic Development & Planning Department. Candy Walk and Festivities

Thursday, Oct. 31, 3 - 8 p.m. 
Village Green (behind Village Hall, 350 Victory Drive) 

Enjoy a family friendly candy walk in Park Forest's Downtown from 3 - 5 p.m. Games and activities take place from 4 - 8 p.m. with a special costume contest from 6 - 7 p.m. An additional contest for the best dressed family will earn one lucky winner $100. For questions, call, 708-283-5621.

Zombie Apocalypse

Thursday, Oct. 31, 6 - 10 p.m. 
Village Green (behind Village Hall, 350 Victory Drive) 

The latest addition to Park Forest’s Halloween offerings is the all-new Zombie Apocalypse! Sign-up to participate in the scariest walk through Downtown Park Forest that you’ve ever experienced. Register today to receive an exclusive map. Would you like to volunteer? Call 708-748-2005.
