School District 227 names new superintendent


School District 227 announced Tuesday the appointment of Dr. Carole Collins-Ayanlaja as the new, permanent Rich Township High School District Superintendent.

Dr. Ayanlaja formerly served as the Chief Academic Of?cer for the Hartford Connecticut public school system and has also previously served in various administrative roles.

“I look forward to working together to support the ongoing achievement and success of each and every one of our students here in District 227,” said Dr. Ayanlaja.

Current Rich Township School District Interim-Superintendent Ronald Patton added, “I’m very excited about Dr. Ayanlaja’s appointment as the new Superintendent of District 227. She brings with her a wealth of experience in working with curriculum and in student achievement, which is essential for our students. We will bene?t from her leadership and I look forward to working with her during the transition period.”

Dr. Ayanlaja earned her doctoral degree in education policy analysis and administration from the University of Illinois and holds a master's degree from Concordia University and bachelors' degree from Lake Forest in Illinois.
