Due to the deteriorating condition of the roadway, Well Street and Well Court will be resurfaced starting in the spring of 2021. The project will also include drainage improvements; complete curb and driveway apron replacement; and sidewalk repairs as needed.
Beginning Monday, May 10, 2021, weather dependent, work will begin with tree root pruning in the right of way, followed by sewer work. When work begins, parking restrictions will be put in locations where work is occurring. The Department of Public Works asks that cars be kept off the street and parked on driveways whenever possible. However, as the project progresses, there will be a time when residents will lose access to their driveway. This will occur when the curb and driveway aprons are replaced. Residents will be notified prior to this taking place. While this will be an inconvenience, we will work will all residents to find adequate street parking until we can allow access to driveways again.
This project will take place during working hours, Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm and is expected to last through July. Residences should expect common construction inconveniences such as traffic congestion, dust, noise, and heavy equipment. The Department of Public Works will follow up frequently with letters, updates to this website, and door hangers advising on construction progress.
We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we complete this work. If you have any questions, please call (708) 503-7702 for updates.
